Flipgrid Notes for Back To School Night - Life Change
Last night I tried something at Back to School Night and I know it will be my forever practice. I am happy to help anyone with this when I return from Singapore in a week, but wanted to blog about it while it was fresh in my mind. Here is what I did: The week of BTSN: Students in my classes recorded 2 minute videos of themselves in Flipgrid . They had specific questions that helped them reflect on what they are working on in my class and what we have done so far. Flipgrid lets you print individual QR codes for all videos at once. I printed them and put them on a notecard for each parent/family member at BTSN. At the end of the night, the notecards left were the families who could not attend. This morning I sent them this in an email to each of those families. I look forward to helping teachers make their own intro videos and we can then have posters outside our classes that help introduce us to any student, family, or visitor. It's a future wish and I made a very quick o
